Vietnam War Project Idea? Too Sappy?

Hi. I'm working on a Vietnam War project with my friends for our school's 60's week. My job is to produce the audio video. Would it be too sappy to get some of my girl scout friends together, talk about the war and the media it sprang, and then sang Imagine by John Lennon? I thought it would be a good idea, and my girl scout buddies really want to sing and help me with my project. What do you think?
