Do You Think NHL Rivalries are Silly, or is There Really a Point To Them?

Of course they are silly. Its two teams who don't like each other for one reason or another. It may be that they live across the river (New Jersey and New York) or they are in the same province (Ottawa and Toronto). But other rivalries may come from te original six ( Montreal, Boston, Detroit, Chicago, New York, and Toronto). But somethimes its because of some important playoff game from the past that has made the players and fans hate the other team. In my opinion wanting to beat one team more than the other because they are a "Rivalry" is pointless. Every game is just as important as the other.
