If the healthcare bill ped, and if people were able to hold on to their current insurance at their job...?

Won't happen - they want a single payer plan, and have stated so. They want to tax the rich to death, destroy toe job market, and kill off all that oppose them, by denying health care. You paying for your own care offends these people; they can't control you that way.
