My mom wont let me thin my hair!?

im a 12 year old boy and i want to thin my hair cause its really curly so i used a straightener but my mom dosent like the look so i asked if i can ask a hair stylist to thin my hair with thinning shears but she and my brother also my sister think im trying to copy my cusin.
